Choosing which topics we would have was not an easy task. Thanks to everyone that submitted. We were lucky to be overwhelmed with such well-developed proposals. It took us quite some time to sift through them all. Although the schedule is full, we wish that there was time to offer even more.
We will be having three tracks with one dedicated to advanced/development issues. Although most of the talks will be done in English, there is usually a German talk in each time slot.
Stay tuned for developments in our schedule. We plan to release our program for Contributor Day, April 23rd soon which will include workshops as well as opportunities to help make WordPress even better. We also have some surprises planned for our open slots on the main day. See you in Vienna!
WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that should be attended by everyone who uses WordPress, and everyone who should use WordPress. This category includes bloggers, designers, developers, authors, marketers, SEOs, Businesses, Non-profits, photographers, realtors, consultants, entrepreneurs, etc.
We’ll be keeping you posted on all the details over the coming months, including speaker submissions, sponsors and more!
Contributor day gives you a special opportunity to work together and learn from some of the best contributors in the community. Together you too can contribute to the awesome CMS that runs about 27% of all the websites on the web. On this day you have a perfect chance to give something back to the community and you will definitely learn a lot in the process.
Everyone is welcome and you can contribute regardless of your skill level. You don’t have to be a developer or a designer to start contributing. If you have never contributed before, this is a perfect time to get started. You will be guided by experienced contributors in a friendly and relaxed environment. So take the chance of taking both WordPress and yourself to the next level.
It’s really fun and rewarding and after a day of presentations you get a chance to learn by doing. You will also meet a lot of nice and interesting people to expand your network.
A lot of people think the contributor days are more rewarding than the main WordCamp event, both in terms of knowledge and networking.
In addition to the usual WordPress Contributor Day Sessions we also plan to offer several 2-3 hour workshops on optimising your WordPress website (SEO / Marketing) and getting started with WordPress (how to setup and configure your own Website / Blog).
Come learn how WordPress is made and help make WordPress!
See you there!
The Contributor / Workshop Day will be held on Sunday, 23rd April, at Stockwerk Coworking Space, Pater-Schwartz-Gasse 11A, 1150 Vienna. Times will be announced soon.
